I eat tons of grapefruit (I prefer it over oranges/juice). Any problem with eating it as the majority of my fruit intake? I have heard that it lowers blood pressure drastically.

I think Wai said grapefruits are not as nutritional as oranges and that they contain more enzyminhibitors (the bitter taste)and they contain too little sugar.
The sweeter, tastier and well-ripened the fruit, the more nutritional... (mangoes, bananas, sweet oranges etc)

RRM,
Thank you for the nutritional comparison. Is it true what Sanna said, that grapefruit contain enzyme inhibitors and are actually NOT recommended to eat by Wai??? Hope not...i LOOOOOOVE them! [Smile]

I use to chose low sugar and/or low glygemic index fruits in the morning.

This way I get less or no problems with instable bloodsugar, which can be a problem for me when eating carbs o empty stomach early in the day.

I usually eat grapefruit or pears, only sometimes I eat oranges or bananas (in the morning that is). Funny though that my ability to handle these sweeter fruits seems to improve with time on mainly raw.

During the day I eat mostly the really nutrient dense fruits.

As with regards to many other aspects of diet, the sample diet is quite strict, to deal with any possible acne culprit. Once you are beyond the sample diet, you can start experimenting, also with regards to eating foods with more enzyminhibitors. So, yes, it is advised not to eat acidic / bitter fruits while on the sample diet, but after the sample diet you can start experimenting with anything.
