Hi Wai, I have been back on the diet for 5 days and it seems to be working again. I try not to use tap water to wash my face and I try not to get sunburned so my face gets dried out and increases my sebum(???) production. My question is, when i get clear by being on the sample diet and the water retention has been dramatically decreased, will the incresed sebum production from washing my face with tap water or my skin sometimes getting dried out cause acne anymore?
I think the answer si no but I just wanted to check. Thanks!!!

it still may
whether you get acne depends on 2 factors:
- water retention
- sebum production

the reason why some people never get totally clear on this diet, is because in some people this diet does not always sufficiently decrease water retention, simply because there are other factors involved as well, like hormones and sleep

so, this also means that, yes, this diet reduces water retention, but that this effect may get overpowered by an increased sebum production; if more sebum is produced, the sebum canals more easily get pinched off too much, so that the remaining water retention may still cause a little bit too much pinching off

so, in order to minimize the risk of new acne, i advice everybody to prevent dehydration of the skin at all times

ive been doing the diet for a month, with a few mistakes, so i have started over.

My acne is worse, like tiny little red dots all over my cheeks. As im 18 i beleive my sebum production is the problem.

My question is, will my sebum production change, or am i stuck with it. I do not have regually facial hair growth yet, so will my hormones sort it out - im confused [Frown]

On an up note my skin quality has improved due to this diet.

no
youre not stuck with it
as ive explained, you can decrease your sebum production by preventing dehydration of the skin
you can do so by applying oil to your skin...
