| banned 05-11-2003 05:48 PM | I need help scheduling my diet..... I'm a 220 15 y/o athlete who works out mon wens friday, and am too big of a wuss to eat raw eggs or raw fish. Can I just have about an orange an hour, and then a salad covered in olive oil for breakfast lunch and dinner? How many nuts should i consume daily to get enough protein w/o eating raw anything? |
| jay_1 05-12-2003 09:28 PM | Banned, if your going to go on this diet, make sure you read and understand --as much as possible--every aspect of this diet. From all the questions you have posted thus far, I take it your still a little confused. Have you read this yet. You are probably anxious to get started right away, thats understandable. Read the information first, it's a wealth of information that MUST be read and understood prior to going on this diet. Now, your a pretty big guy. Your going to have to drink lots of orange juice both with sugar and oil added. To understand the energy needs of your body first read this thread, it will probably prevent you from losing weight that you don't want to. For a guy your size, your probably going to have to take up consuming raw eggs for good protein if you want to stay big and muscled up. If you decide on eating eggs, make sure you are not on any antibiotics. If you are, get off of them, and wait two weeks prior to eating the eggs. Eggs contain lots of bacteria that can make you sick, so be cautious to eat only FRESH, vegetarian fed hens eggs. Start by consuming a table spoon of egg yolk a day, you can mix it in with your fresh squeezed orange juice. Gradually increase your intake over the next couple of weeks. Make sure you only consume the egg yolk (orange/yellow stuff,) cut a slit to open the sack and let the yolk ooze out. Finally to make sure your getting the right amount of nutrients, submit your version of the diet to the Nutrient Calculator. Remember, do the research, read as much information as possible. | banned 05-13-2003 08:31 PM | day 2 of diet: I fell asleep again in math class, but I do that everyday so I guess it is more than just the new diet. I was pretty sore from working out yesterday because I didn't have anything other than oranges and oil covered salad. Today I had plain salad, bannannas, and lots of pre shelled brazil nuts. Since I cannot eat raw egg yolks(my parents won't let me) and I can't eat sashasi because there are no vendors near me I have opted just to take my usual protein boost. I had pretty bad acne before boost and it got better with the medicine I was taking so I'm not sure if it was that bad for my acne. Shouldn't the elimination of everything but the bosot that causes acne from my diet be enough to clear me up? I only have 6 or less white heads on me on a bad day, and red marks all near my chin, I usually only get acne on my chin and nose region. OTher than the egg yolk sashai and nut part im following the diet to plan, but will it be enough? |
| Sanna 05-14-2003 04:50 AM | seriously, the fresh raw egg yolks would make a HUGE difference for you. they are FILLED with all the good stuff (vitamins, minerals, good fats, protein...and loads of good cholesterol (helps you to sleep well, feel well and be happy...and it really helps you to maintain this diet better as it stops the cravings for cooked addictive foods..) I know you mentioned in your first post that you can't consume yolks even if you wanted to because your parents won't allow you. But that is just because they think (like most people) that cholesterol is always bad (raw cholesterol is good and essential, the yolks turn unhealthy when you cook them) and they probably fear getting salmonella from eating raw yolks....(not if the yolks are raw and your system is trained to fight bacteria). Have you let them read about this diet? I know some people won't listen...like my parents, but I eat the yolks anyway because I care for my health so much. I eat them when I'm alone or with friends who won't make a fuss about it. And study all the aspects of this diet. Read everything on waisays.com. And of course there is more to read on all these threads... You WON'T feel tired on this diet IF you sleep enough and eat ENOUGH which means often...most ppl who are new to this diet don't realise how much and how often they have to eat because they are used to eating big meals a few times a day. You can't do that anymore. Make juices, and add sugar and oil....please don't go for supplements or protein from other sources than brazil nuts, yolks and fish. Your acne will disappear if you follow all the rules...and you will be healthy. |
