| Cheryl2002 03-14-2003 04:52 AM | Dear Wai, I have been taking the above for close to a year - it helps with my joint problems. But is it ok to continue to take it whilst on your diet? My skin has been ok till last year, when it started to break out after using this Whitia skincare brand .....thereafter my sebum production is really active....barely an hour after washing my face my pores on the nose and forehead will be filled with oil bits....i think u know what i meant.....but on my cheeks will be dry.....do you suppose the apple cider vinegar has caused my oild glands to work harder? Thank you very much! |
| Cheryl2002 03-23-2003 08:51 AM | Dear Wai & everybody..... can you help to advise on the above? My mum said perhaps I should stop drinking this vinegar stuff - she said maybe this drink has helped me to cleanse my internal system - through purging toxins as acne? Pls advise. Thank you! |

| Cheryl2002 03-27-2003 06:43 PM | Dear Wai, tks so much for your patient reply! I am concerned by your statement that this drink may have impaired my skin's fats production...can you elaborate on ut? Do you think I should stop taking this stuff whilst on your diet, then? After trying your diet I have seen great results, and I realise mailk prodcust are the killer for me! For now I am maintaining a semi-version of your diet. I still get black and white heads though.....please help to advise whether I should stop taking this vinegar drink? BTW I have lost around 3 kg. I suspect it's the diet but poeple told me it could be the vinegar drink too.....what's your take on this? Thank you WAi! |
| Wai 03-28-2003 08:15 AM | quote:ingesting lots of vinegar acid (= acetic acid = ethanoic acid) can impair the metabolism of acids (ie coenzymeA) inside the body (ie the Krebs cycle), which are part of the system producing fatty acids (activated vinegar acid is the starting compound of the synthesis of fatty acids) the very reason why it is claimed to 'help bring down the synthesis of bodyfat', it will also impair your sebum / oil production the weightloss may be caused by the vinegar or by the diet if you don't want to lose weight, you need to eat more meals a day (lots of small meals) anyway, i advice to stop drinking the vinegar... |
| Cheryl2002 03-28-2003 08:49 AM | Dear wai, tks so much for your quick reply! I get your drift now ....vinegar does help to speed up the break-down of fats....as such, I may have less fats in my body, hence maybe this in turn causes my skin to try to produce more sebum....I have been drinking 2 teaspoons of it mixed with water for well over a year now.....I will stop taking it and let you know how I fare couple months down the road then. Thank you! |
