| Auron 12-28-2002 02:51 PM | to have fruit after you ingest fat?Doesn't fat take longer to digest than sugars? |
| Scott 12-29-2002 01:01 PM | Hi there. Order is an important detail. The logic in ingesting fat after sugar is to keep blood sugar levels stable. Have you looked over the sample diet rules yet? Sample Diet Rules Rule #3 addresses this particular point. |
| Auron 12-29-2002 09:23 PM | I understand it's to stabilize blood sugar but,if you have fat after the fruit won't the fat have no effect because sugars are digested faster than fat? |
| Wai 12-30-2002 11:14 AM | quote:The sugar in fruits is absorbed only as fast as the fruits are digested, which means that the sugars are only gradually absorbed. It is not that first the sugars are absorbed, and then the fats. Fatty acids from cold pressed oil are absorbed relatively fast. Fats from cooked foods (which contain damaged fats) are digested much slower, and hydrogenated (or solid) fats are digested the slowest. You can easily feel for yourself; The first day you drink only juices with sugar, and the next day you drink juices with oild added. Try it, and you will definitely feel the difference; the first day you will likely feel jumpy, easily agitated, alternated with tiredness and a lack of energy, due to too much fluctuating blood sugar levels. The second day you will feel much better, so, yes, there CERTAINLY IS A GREAT EFFECT when consuming fats with or after the fat. If you drink pressed or centrifugated juices, then it is no problem to have sugars after the fat, but if consuming whole fruits, the fiber in the fruits (when eaten after the fats) may impair your digestion, causing gasses etc. |
