| Wai 10-16-2002 12:10 PM | Especially cheese such as Cheddar cheese is very much acne causing. High fat, low protein cheeses (Gormas Ballarini ,Mascarpone Polenghi, Cantadou) are less bad, but can still cause acne. You can only start to experiment with adding a bit of the latter to your diet once your skin is totally clear. |
| rick 10-19-2002 02:25 PM | In the store I saw 'raw' cheese made from unpasteurized milk. Would this protein not be dirty then, like raw meat? |
| Wai 10-19-2002 02:38 PM | quote:the problem with raw cheese is that it contains protein that are 'dirty' by nature. All milk is mother's milk, meant for the young animal from whose mother the milk is taken. All milk contains all kind (including opioid peptides) of small proteins (and steroids etc) that are protected against digestion by nature (and thus are 'dirty'), because they are required to remain intact to stimulate optimum growth of the suckling young. Also, milk contains both lactose and substance P, which both increase the permeability of the intestinal mucosa; increasing the uptake of 'dirty' protein from both other 'munch foods' (making bad foods worse) and the ones naturally present in raw milk / cheese. So, yes, 'even' raw milk / cheese readily causes acne. All other milk / cheese even more readily cause acne. |
