| riverdown 09-20-2002 01:41 AM | Hi Wai Im on the diet for 7 days now, but my diet is not that strict, although the my skin have changed greatly for the first time I dont have acne and my face is clear though I have some whiteheads once in a while and all my acne before the diet are all healed and become un-noticeable.... I dont follow the stict diet for now because I want to start into a preparatory diet so I can prepare my self to a much stricker diet later because I know the diet will help you loose some weight( and considering me as 115 ibs Im 7 lbs under weight from ususal weight) I want a step by step process of adopting to the diet... I can say that the diet works for me even if it is not that strict ( But I'll be on the strict diet soon)..... My diet consist of all fruits, juices(fresh squeezed) and nuts from breakfast to lunch but during dinner I ate cooked helthy foods like a rice and vegies or rice and fish(cooked) only. Wai would it be OK to continue in this routine diet or should I have to go to strict diet, although my current diet somehow works for me and help me identify those foods that cause acne for me....please advise. Thanks Wai |
| Wai 09-20-2002 06:41 AM | quote:You can do this step by step approach, since you are already sure that the diet works for you. The worst thing in your diet right now, is the cooked fish, and then the rice. so, my advice to you, is to first eliminate the cooked fish from your diet, and replace that by raw fish or fresh raw egg yolks. And of course you need to stop adding salt and all spices to the rice and the vegetables. Maybe that is already sufficient for you to have a clear skin. If not, you can go one step further. |
| riverdown 09-23-2002 05:08 AM | Thanks Wai for your response So this mean that I can have a cooked rice topped with raw egg (w/out salt any spices).....? Can this be ok (though it works for me somehow)...I feel some sort of fear that it will not completely heal my acne or control it if I eat rice...... Although eating rice once a day (and the rest are fruits and nuts) somehow does not cause heavy breakouts for me....but eating rice for 2 or more time ..really cause me some breakouts....why is this...? Please advise...if I have to remove the rice on my diet (I can replace my cooked fish with raw fish its ok) rice give me some sort of strength or added energy during the day.... Any replace food for rice with the same amount of energy I can get....but will not cause me some breakouts.... Thanks Waii |
| Wai 09-23-2002 11:43 AM | quote:That is for you to find out... The only way to find out, is to allow rice as the ONLY munch food in your diet. Then you can get to know HOW MUCH you eat of it. quote:Maybe, maybe not. They only way to find out, is through experimentation. If you want to try the diet step by step, there are much more uncertainties involved. quote:Because it depends on how much 'dirty' protein your skin can cope with. Obviously, your skin can cope with a bit of rice daily, but when you eat too much of it, it is simply too much... quote:You can also experiment HOW MUCH your skin can cope with. Decrease the portions of rice until you don't break out any more. Maybe this means decreasing it to only one spoon of rice daily, or maybe more, ...or nothing... quote:It is the starch, which are long chains of glucose molecules. you can absorb the same amount of glucose by drinking juices, with some sugar and oil added. You don't need the rice; you need the energy. quote:Baked potatoes are less harmful and contain starch too. "not cause breakouts" ? Fruits wount. All munch foods may. |
| Taylor 09-23-2002 02:20 PM | Wai, you mentioned adding sugar to your fruit juice; is this table sugar or is it a special kind? |
| Wai 09-24-2002 12:54 PM | any sugar. just make sure to balance it with sufficient oil. |
